How hard is it to learn to kiteboard?

Kids from the age of 8 years old to the elder are all capable of getting into the sport. Most people think that it takes a great deal of strength to kiteboard, but this is a popular misconception. When is the windiest time of the year?
The windy season begins in mid-October and runs through the end of July every year. This elongated windy season provides ample time to fine tune your kitesurfing skills. The very end of summer is the only time when the wind is generally lighter. Since the island is on the same latitude as Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, it stays warm basically year round. This allows for the use of that whole span of time where it is windy in the winter months. The temperature of the air and water stay warmer longer and warm up faster than every where else in the United States.
Where do we learn to kitesurf?
The Kiteboard lessons are generally held in the Laguna Madre Bay because the water is calm and shallow.
The Laguna Madre Bay is a perfect location for any beginner to advanced kiteboarder because of its calm conditions and steady winds.
On the kiteboard lessons, you venture to the middle of the bay by boat, where you can still stand.
The wind is better in the middle, but can only be reached by boat. But since the water depth is only waist to chest high across the whole bay,
it makes you feel like your still right next to shore the whole lesson! With boat support and radio communication,
the learning curve in the bay is far greater than most other kiteboard instruction locations.
